Prof-"Do you think Andrew Jackson was a good president?."
Prof-"He had some rough spots but his presidency is considered one of the best in U.S. history. Why do feel he was a bad president?"
Me-"Because of he was personally responsible for one of the largest genocides in history."
Prof-"Well that's such a small part of his presidency.."
Me-"So what you're saying is that a guy who served in the army, helped start a new political party, that was a great public speaker, and helped his country expand should be considered overall a good leader even if he committed atrocities against a group of people?"
Prof-"I think it's a bit more fair to say that, yes."
Me-"You do realize everything I said could be applied to Hitler as well, right?"
Prof-"You know what? Maybe Andrew Jackson was a terrible president?"
